Using Play Now

Play Now is free to play and you must be 13 or over. Some features may be offered only to selected players.

Plus

Plus costs £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year (including VAT where it applies) and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your Account, in one tap; Plus then lasts to the end of the period you’ve paid for. Plus includes 30 new AI-written topics a month (counted from the 1st of each calendar month) and games for up to 200 players; ready-made topics, Today’s quiz and joining games are always unlimited. You must be 18 or over to buy Plus.

You can cancel within 14 days of buying and get a refund. Plus starts straight away, so if you use it during those 14 days we may keep a fair amount for the time used. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

Study

Study costs £14.99 a month (including VAT where it applies), renews automatically until you cancel, and includes everything in Plus. If you have Plus, upgrading switches your plan straight away and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. You can switch back or cancel any time in your Account; the 14-day refund right works as for Plus.

Fair use: up to 5 active subjects, and up to 150 newly written questions a day and 1,500 a month for you; reviews, mock exams and questions already written are unlimited. If new writing pauses, we tell you when it resumes.

Practice questions are original, written by AI from the published outline and checked before you see them. They are not real exam questions, and Play Now is not affiliated with any exam or awarding body. Readiness scores are estimates, not a guarantee of any result.

Be decent

Don't use names or topics that are illegal, hateful, sexual, threatening, or that harass or reveal private information about someone. Don't try to cheat, overload or break the service.

Hosts can remove players. We may remove games, names or topics and block access to keep Play Now safe.

The questions

Questions are written with the help of AI and checked automatically before you see them. We work hard to get them right, but some may still be wrong or out of date. Play Now is for fun — don't rely on it for anything important. If you spot a mistake, tell us on the Help page.

Our responsibility

We provide Play Now as it is and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim there.
